Who I help
Who I help
Almost all my patients fall into one of two groups, which I call Chronic & Complex and Stay Healthy. You’ll find descriptions of both types below.
However, I also help with a range of other issues – gastrointestinal issues, IBS, GERD, sleeping, anxiety, etc.
Chronic & Complex
You have two or more chronic health conditions or symptoms, often several. Almost invariably, you have been to many other medical specialists before coming to me. Your problems do not get resolved; nobody is happy.
The most important question is what is at the root of your chronic symptoms? These symptoms are usually a sign of being on perennially high alert. This high alert state is often a response to one of three threats: infection, toxicity or stress/trauma.
My job is to gather as much data, from you and from testing, to solve the puzzle. Find out what is at the root of your health issues, connect the dots, and come up with a strategy to address the true problems – at the root level. This can include supplements, nutritional changes, lifestyle changes, and more. No two bodies are the same, each case is unique.
You feel it is time to take greater ownership of your health, to pay more attention. Typically you’ve been thinking you should do this for a while, but now the spark has been lit – often, something traumatic or life-changing has happened to someone close to you.
Stay healthy uses subjective and objective data to find areas in the body where disease or dysfunction can start. We address and monitor these opportunities until they are gone or well managed.
Ideally this can be done yearly as a way to ensure we stay a step ahead of whatever issues your body might be weak about. We focus on a return to optimal function from a place of dysfunction, as well as tailored prevention of disease. Stay Healthy is an excellent compliment to the once-standard yearly physical performed by the GP. The physical focuses on finding disease, while we focus on preventing it.
